You can search for a message in the mailbox in two ways:
Quick Search
Advanced Search
To do a quick search:
Click the name of the folder that contains the message you want to find.
Click the downward arrow button in the text area and select the search criteria.
The following options are available:
Subject: Select this option to search the subject field of your messages.
Sender: Select this option to search based on the sender's email address of.
To or CC: Select this option to search for messages from senders either in the To or CC fields.
Subject or Sender: Select this option to search in the subject or sender fields.
Body: Select this option to search for search keywords in the body.
In the Quick Search field, type the text to search for.
As you type in the Search field, messages are filtered and messages that match the search criteria are listed in a table.
To do an advanced search:
Click the downward arrow button in the text area.
The following options are available:
Subject
Sender
To or Cc
Subject or Sender
Body
Advanced Search
Select the Advanced Search option.
This opens the Advanced Search tab.
Click the Select button next to Search for: Messages In, to select a folder.
The Select folder to search window is displayed with a list of folders available in your Inbox.
Select the folder from which you want to search messages.
Click OK.
Select the matching criteria for your search string by selecting any one of the following options:
Match all of the following
Match any of the following
Select the required option from the first drop down list in the pane below.
The following options are available:
To
Cc
To or Cc
From
Subject
Date
Body
Message Size (KB)
Age in Days
Status
Select the required option from the second drop down list.
This option provided in this drop down list depends on the selection in the previous step.
Enter a relevant search string for the message in the adjacent text field.
To enter a date, click in the text field. A mini calendar is displayed and you can select a date. By default, the current month is displayed.
You can add more conditions by clicking on the plus button provided adjacent to the first condition. Alternatively, you can also remove search conditions by clicking on the minus button adjacent to each search condition. You must have at least one condition to search messages.
Click Search.
All messages in the selected folder satisfying the search criteria are displayed in the Search Results tab.
