To delete one or more contacts from your address book, perform the following steps:
Select the contacts to delete by selecting the checkbox next to the contact from the address book. You can select multiple contacts by pressing the Ctrl key (Command key in Mac OS) for selecting nonsequential contacts or the Shift key for selecting sequential contacts.
If you select a single contact, the contact details are displayed in the central panel. In case of multiple contacts, the total number of contacts selected appears in the central pane.
Click the Delete button from the address book toolbar.
Alternatively
Right-click on the selected contact(s).
Select Delete.
A dialog box appears prompting for a confirmation.
Click Delete button.
